I can’t claim this is about any kind of traditional boat, but I think I can safely say that rowing is a traditional activity, that more people should do it and that this post is about a neat and inexpensive way of equipping yourself to do it. These photos show a very sweetly made canoe built to my Cinderella design that has been adapted in a couple of useful ways.

Slick new website for the Wooden Boatbuilders Trade Association

The Wooden Boatbuilders Trade Association has set up a slick new website, http://www.wbta.co.uk , that’s far easier to navigate than the old site, looks a lot better, and includes an easy to use list of members and their websites.

Although it hasn’t got a great deal of content yet, it promises some nice new features, including a quarterly newsletter Soundings. I’ve already signed up for it, and look forward to learning more.
