Gavin Atkin's weblog for the sort of people who like looking inside boat sheds. It's about old boats, traditional boats, boat building, restoration, the sea and the North Kent Coast

I watched the Youtube on fenland life back in 1945 whilst sitting at my family’s farm here in Thailand. The people in the fields back in 1945 do not seem so different from what happened here yesterday when they were harvesting Chinese Coriander, Dill and Chilli. People in the fields doing everything by hand. But there is one big difference here – they prepare the items for sale much better – they have to look very good – dirty carrots would not sell well here!
Great video. Thank you. Seems ages since I had any updates from you. Hope all is well
All’s well. I’m just very busy with other things, including organising, arranging and teaching music. There’s a limit to how long a sane human can stare at screens each day!
