Traditionally built 1910 Canadian canoe built by the Lakefield Canoe Co
THIS CANOE HAS BEEN SOLD!
I promised my musical friend Pamela I’d help to advertise the canoe she has finally decided to sell, so here it is.
THIS CANOE HAS BEEN SOLD!
Can you give me information on condition and what price she is looking to get for the canoe?
Thanks,
Peter
Is the canoe still for sale
I would be very interested in the Lakefield cedar-strip canoe. I lived in Lakefield when I was a kid and I have what appears to be the last of the canoes like the one you have. Mine was built after the Lakefield Canoe company had folded up, but there were still enough of the fittings left for the successors to the builders of your canoe to make one more. I have a vague impression the Lakefield Canoe Company wasn't involved at all in my canoe, but the tin "Lakefield Canoe Company" badges are on my canoe.
Do drop me a line and let me know about what you'd like for your canoe.
Cheers, Jack Hughes, Manotick ON CA
I don't know whether the canoe is still for sale – but I can tell you they can be contacted here: http://www.springersmusic.co.uk/
