Photos from the Norfolk Broads, summer 2016

We’re just back from a week on the Norfolk Broads, and I guess I should put some of my photos here!

Among the photos are boats (and a dog) at Hickling staithe, thatched boathouses, Roundhead graffitti in the parish church, a Phil Redmond-designed Whisp rowing and sailing skiff, windpumps, the door of the Lion pub at Thurne, a steamer, a pre-Reformation hymnal and an impressive rood screen at Ranworth parish church, oldest hire fleet boat Zoe, boats and boats at Martham.

  1. Beautifull pictures and same waters as we have in the Netherlands and boats that look like our boats from the last 80 year. Gunter rigs and shallow hull keel boats. And a surprise to see Whisp from Steve Redmond. I built her also in 1990.
