Rob Roy canoe
Today, reader Jeff Cole alerted me to this image of a Rob Roy canoe on a lagoon at Warrock Station, Australia in around 1900. It can be found in the Victoria Museum’s online archive, and the link is here.
Thanks Jeff!
Incidentally, Jeff sails an Oughtred Macgregor similar to the one Chris Perkins built, although rigged with a single sail, and here are some of photos he has kindly sent of his boat and where he sails:

Thanks Jeff–this is the first photo I've seen with the small sail that MacGregor's illustrations showed in A Thousand Miles in the Rob Roy Canoe.
Hello,
In 1886 my Grandfather canoed with his brother in his Rob Roy canoe the Golden Butterfly, over 2,000 miles down the Murray from Albury to Port Adelaide. I understand this was the first time this was done by canoe. I am trying to find out if he and his brother did canoe back from Adelaide to Melbourne. The article describes the arrival at Port Adelaide and below gives the English Rob Roy's maker.

In 1885 they also canoed the Darling River and I have a copy of a newspaper article of part of the Darling trip. I am seeking any information about him or his trips.
I hope this of interest.
Janet
P.S.
I have had trouble retrieving the article from Trove, the best way this time was to have search the Digitised Newspapers S.A. then the newspaper date and page, as below.
