Does anyone know the history of Percy Blandford-designed outboard boat Pandora?

Neil Greenfield is embarking a project to restore Pandora, a small outboard boat built to Percy Blandford’s Venturer design, and he’s posting about his progress at the Classic Motor Boat Association forum.

Neil asks whether anyone knows the history of the boat?

Apparently, on the dashboard there’s a small brass plaque that bears the legend ‘Built by R. Sewter, Glenfern Engineering, 49 Tinsley Lane, Three Bridges, Sussex‘.

If you can supply any information, please get in touch with me at gmatkin@gmail.com, and I’ll pass the message on to Neil.

    1. I don’t think they have. I’ve been thinking the questioner is asking about who used the boat and what for, and about the builders etc.

I could contact the family, as I have a contact…

  4. My dad built a venturer in 1963. We had great fun in her before we sold her. My dad is 88 this year. After losing his wife he is now attempting to build the boat again. He still has original plans but he is lacking the instructions and plans on how to complete the decking etc after he has turned it over. Any help would be appreciated. I will find a picture of the one he built in 1963 and post it on .Thankyou so much Sharon Shannon daughter
