In the meantime, do you know the identity of any of the rogues in the photo above? The crew member standing at the extreme left of this photograph is William Page, a Tollesbury man, who sailed with Fairey from 1932 onwards; the names of the two crew members standing next to him are still unknown but to the right of them are Herbert Diaper, Fairey’s skipper, and Sir Richard Fairey himself.

The man second from left is my granfather, another Tollesbury man, born Percy Charles Frost, known as Dick all his life, but with the “nickname of custard”.
To my knowledge he sailed Flica over an extended period of time (leading up to the war) with Sir Richard, he also crewed on J-class yacht “Astra” often competing at Cowes and Falmouth.
We know that he crossed the North sea to race in Norway, Denmark, & Sweden in 1932, winning 10 out of 15 starts on Flica, returning home with £100 prize money (that paid for his wedding).
My mother, his daughter has a charm bracelet that was made from a watch chain, given as a prize for yet more Flica wins. The chain and now bracelet contains a letter “F” charm representing Flica.
