The Royal Squadron at Cowes certainly does exist, but I'd start by contacting the National Maritime Museum. If they went to the museum I'd guess they would be more likely to be seen by the public and by academics.

		<description>Gavin, after having these photo's in a drawer for 40 years odd and carefully carrying them about when I moved I am glad to see them have the light of day again. For a long time I seemed to be the only one who valued them. I had worried that if something happened to me they'd be tossed out again. Does the Royal Yacht Club of Cowes, whose pennant a lot of these yachts fly,  still exist or have a successor with their old archives?
